Most of the pieces involve a number of time signature changes and also utilize odd time signatures such as 5/4, 7/8, 7/16, 13/16, and others. These challenges help develop the percussionists into more complete performers and will help them build confidence in their abilities on the drums. Technical Notes: This drum solo can use any three drum-like instruments such as brake drums, timpani, tom-toms, bass drum, tabla, conga, bongos, roto toms, etc. Tune three different notes (low, medium and high) to play these pieces. |
